Scientific Trip to Pioneer Company for Pharmaceuticals

QIU Pharmacy students conducted a scientific field visit to Pioneer Company for Pharmaceutical Industries as part of their academic and practical training.

The purpose of the visit was to gain direct insight into the pharmaceutical manufacturing process, beginning from raw material handling to the final finished product. During the tour, students were introduced to key operational and regulatory sections of the company, including:

  • Research and Development (R&D)

  • Production and Manufacturing Units (solid, liquid, and semi-solid dosage forms)

  • Quality Control (QC) Laboratories

  • Quality Assurance (QA) Department

  • Regulatory Affairs

  • Validation and Qualification Unit

  • Packaging Department

  • Warehousing and Supply Chain Management

The visit provided students with valuable exposure to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, in-process controls, documentation systems, and quality management procedures implemented within the pharmaceutical industry.

This scientific trip strengthened the integration between theoretical knowledge and real-world pharmaceutical practice, enhancing students’ understanding of industrial pharmacy and professional career pathways.
