Overview

Dr. Rawa Abdullatif Ratha is a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of Clinical Pharmacy, currently serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Qaiwan International University. He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Pharmacy from Hawler Medical University (2007), a Master of Science (MSc) in Clinical Pharmacy from Hawler Medical University (2013), and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Pharmacy from the University of Sulaimaniyah (2019). Both his MSc and PhD degrees were awarded with an evaluation of EXCELLENT, reflecting his exceptional academic achievements.

With over a decade of teaching experience at Sulaimani University, Dr. Rawa has established himself as a committed and innovative educator. He has delivered lectures on a wide range of subjects, including Pharmaceutical Orientation, Pharmacy Practice Experience I, II, III, Communication Skills, Case Study, Therapeutics, Pharmacokinetics, and Community Pharmacy. Utilizing advanced teaching techniques, he has inspired and motivated students to achieve higher levels of concentration, understanding, and learning.

In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Rawa has actively contributed to academic research. He has supervised MSc and undergraduate students’ research projects and has collaborated on numerous research studies with academic staff, some of them have been published in journals with impact factors.

Dr. Rawa has also pursued professional development through various training programs. He completed a Team Building & Communication Skills training course at the German Jordanian University (April 25, 2014), a Leading Pharmaceutical Selling Skills Basic Program by LEADACT International in Amman, Jordan (April 26, 2014), Teaching Method Training course (2013-2014) at the University of Sulaimani, where he received an EXCELLENT evaluation and ISO (9001:2015) certificate for Quality Management system (requirements and Documentation Standards) 0n 2024 at Qaiwan International University.

Fluent in Kurdish, Arabic, and English, Dr. Rawa possesses strong IT, communication, and teaching skills. Beyond his academic pursuits, he enjoys reading, playing the piano, Designing  and travelling.

Dr. Rawa Abdullatif Ratha continues to make significant contributions to the field of pharmacy through his leadership, teaching, and research, inspiring both students and colleagues alike.
