Bridging Academia and Industry: QIU Pharmacy Students’ Industrial Attachment at Rasan Pharmaceutical Company

The Industrial Attachment programme for Semester 10 pharmacy students at Qaiwan International University (QIU) was conducted through a collaboration between QIU and Rasan Pharmaceutical Company, as part of the Industrial Attachment course delivered in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). During the programme, students explored different areas of pharmaceutical operations, gaining practical insights into Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), Research and Development (R&D), and Packaging. This experience allowed students to connect their academic knowledge with real-world industrial practices and develop a deeper understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality standards, and the processes involved in ensuring the quality and safety of pharmaceutical products. The training was conducted under the supervision of our faculty lecturer pharmacist Ms. Sana Khabat, supporting students in their professional development and preparing them for future careers in the pharmaceutical sector. This collaboration reflects Qaiwan International University's commitment to strengthening university–industry partnerships and providing pharmacy students with meaningful practical learning experiences that bridge academic education and professional practice.
